Dell
Computers has been a client for some 4 years and we are
proud to combine our association on their latest projects.
Dell Campus has 4 planned new buildings of which 2
have been built and the third is currently under construction.
MEIT undertook the design of the fit-out services design
for the first 2 buildings, including enhancements within
the base build systems and overviewing the developer’s
installation for quality and compliance. These buildings
were essentially offices with high occupant demands
with large computer rooms and a staff restaurant.
The
new 3rd building is being constructed by Dell themselves
and we have undertaken the design for the base build
and bespoke fit-out requirements. This new building
is 100,000 sqft and consists of 2 wings of 4 floor levels.
The occupants function will primarily be telesales with
a large kitchen/restaurant, hospitality area, in-house
systems development labs, and computer room with dedicated
24 hr resilient services. The occupant density and small
power gains are high given the nature of the business
and the services have been designed accordingly. Energy
saving measures have been extensively applied with inverter
drives to motors, heat recovery on air handling plant,
gas fired humidification and intelligent DDC and lighting
controls.
This 3rd building is due for completion in July 03.
